Axe Valley Festival 2016

Dorothy Anderson, Chair of the Friends of Cullompton Library, designed a beautiful garden stand at the recent Axe Valley festival and was thrilled to receive a Large Gold Award in the Floral marquee, followed by the award of Best in Show Floral Exhibit.  The photos show Dorothy with her certificate and the winner’s cup, together with her winning exhibit. 

Dorothy also managed to sell some quizzes to raise funds and her stand entitled “Courtyard Garden to sit and read in” provided an opportunity to promote reading for all and also Devon Libraries.  She has kindly donated her prizewinnings to swell the Friends fundraising coffers and Cullompton library staff are very grateful to Dorothy and all the Friends for their continued support of our work.
